The IPUG holds its first meeting in Bangalore. The meeting is sponsored by IBM and Aurigo.

The IPUG, in co-ordination with InterPUG, is invited to attend PalmSource 2000, a convention and exhibition of handheld technologies, held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley, with a booth sponsored by Palm Inc.

The IPUG demo's handheld computing solutions at the IT-Asia Millennium 2000 exhibition, sponsored by the CII, held at the World Trade Centre, Bombay.
